Neat were to be found in room 416, demonstrating the Ultimatum MF7 speakers and we also showed a static display of the Petite and Mystique models from the core Neat range. During the weekend a very wide range of music was played on the system, which comprised a 'Well Tempered' turntable with Dynavector 507 tonearm, courtesy of John Burns at Pear Audio. Thanks John! The other source was a Naim CDS2/XPS2, which sounded great, as always. Our grateful thanks also to the chaps at Naim Audio. The amplification was ECS monobloc amplifiers and a Rose Industries RV23S preamplifier. This preamp has got to be the audio bargain of the century, punching well above its weight - and price! The equipment was superbly supported on the new D~Wave modular rack system, designed by Neat's Derek Gilligan. This picture shows the mighty Ultimatum MF7 loudspeakers at work.
